Dear Friend,

These last few weeks have been tough for many 8th District residents who are temporarily out of work because of the coronavirus pandemic. To help people make ends meet, Congress recently passed Economic Impact Payments to provide $1,200 per adult and $500 per child. 

In addition to the EIP, residents who are currently unemployed can apply for assistance, which now includes an additional $600/week for the next few months. I have heard from many constituents that they are struggling to apply for unemployment with the Employment Services Department. I recently held a webinar with representatives from ESD to explain their new system and answer some common questions.

Additionally, my office has put together a Coronavirus Resource Guide with local information and contacts. 

I will keep fighting for the 8th district to make sure that we all make it through this.
