Dear Friend,

I’m continuing to work closely with federal, state and local officials during this pandemic to monitor and fight the coronavirus in our community. There’s a lot of new information and I wanted to make sure you don’t miss anything:

REOPENING FLORIDA: Phase 2 of Gov. DeSantis’ plan to safely reopen our economy begins TODAY, June 5th. Local governments may still have restrictions based on each community.

Here’s what’s included in Phase 2:

  • Restaurants at full capacity (with spacing and/or partitions)
  • Gyms and fitness centers at full capacity (machines and surfaces sanitized after each use)
  • Retail shops at full capacity
  • Movie theaters, bowling alleys and concert halls at 50% capacity
  • Museums and libraries at 50% capacity
  • Salons and barbershops (with these safety guidelines
  • Elective surgeries
  • Youth activities (including youth sports and summer camps

*NOTE: Phase 2 excludes Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

For more information about Phase 2 click here.

CONGRATS GRADS: Graduation looks a little different across our community this year with social distancing guidelines. Some schools have gotten creative and are using some of our community’s most iconic places to host their graduation ceremonies. Flagler County high schools creative and held a drive-thru graduation at our very own Daytona International Speedway. Very cool. Congratulations to the Class of 2020 and I can’t wait to see where your future takes you!
