Dear Friend,

This week in Congress, we marked the official re-launch of the Victims of Communism Caucus, and the Ways and Means Committee held a big hearing conducting oversight of his agency.

My office opened nominations for the 2024 Women of Distinction Awards, I got to spend some time with the Vietnamese community to celebrate Tết, and Orange County welcomed its first Dutch Brothers.

Get the details about all of this and more below, and make sure to follow my FacebookInstagram, and X to get these updates in real-time.

Remembering the Victims of Communism

This week, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) and I joined Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation to mark the re-launch of the Victims of Communism Caucus. This bipartisan effort will ensure the U.S. stands strong against this evil ideology.

I am committed to ensuring my colleagues in Congress, and the American people, understand that the threat of Communism is not just something in the past. This issue is personal, both to me and to many of my constituents. I have heard the stories of brutality firsthand.

The Victims of Communism Foundation has put in years of hard work to “create a world free from the false hope of Communism.” I am honored to be able to extend that work into the halls of Congress as Co-chair of the Victims of Communism Caucus.

At this week's Ways and Means Committee Hearing, I questioned IRS Commissioner about how his agency’s policies threaten a flood of burdensome audits on hard working taxpayers.

Watch the hearing to see how the Committee is keeping the IRS accountable.
