Friends,
The Trump Accounts program officially launched today, giving millions of American families a powerful new tool to invest in their children's future.
Created through the One Big Beautiful Bill, Trump Accounts are tax-advantaged investment accounts designed to help the next generation build wealth early in life.
Every eligible American child under the age of 18 with a valid Social Security number can open a Trump Account and begin benefiting from long-term, tax-deferred growth.
Children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, who are U.S. citizens, are also eligible to receive a one-time $1,000 federal contribution to jumpstart their account.
Families, grandparents, friends, and even employers can contribute to these accounts, with a total annual contribution limit of $5,000 per child.
Even without additional contributions, a single $1,000 investment could grow significantly over time:
- ~$5,800 by age 18
- ~$17,000 by age 27
- Over $200,000 by age 55
Parents can now manage accounts directly through the new Trump Accounts app, available on both the Apple and Google app stores.
Here’s how to enroll:
- Families make an election when filing their taxes.
- A participating financial institution activates the account.
- Families may contribute at any time—or simply allow the investment to grow on its own.
You can learn more and access enrollment information at trumpaccounts.gov.
Sincerely,
