Dear Friend:

Under current leadership, the government has become another arm of the Democrat party. They have politicized the FBI, proposed an IRS army to audit the middle-class so they can pay for their reckless spending, and targeted concerned parents as "domestic terrorists".

This government is totally out of touch with the values on which this great country was founded. Republicans are committed to restoring responsibility in the government.

We will preserve our Constitutional freedoms, upholding free speech, protecting the lives of unborn children and their mothers, guaranteeing religious freedom, and safeguarding the Second Amendment.

We will hold Washington accountable, conducting rigorous oversight to rein in government abuse of power and corruption, providing real transparency, and requiring the White House to answer for its incompetence and home and abroad.

We will increase accountability in the election process through voter ID, accurate voter rolls, and observer access.

This is our commitment to America.

Feeding Our Future Allegations

Last week, the Department of Justice unsealed charges alleging roughly $250 million in CACFP and SFSP funds were fraudulently claimed by Feeding Our Future and numerous individuals connected with the organization. In total, 49 suspects have been charged in connection with the alleged fraud and may grow as the investigation continues.

These revelations make disturbing allegations of the integrity of programs meant to feed the hungry. It is critical that Congress conduct extensive oversight and ensure proper safeguards are in place to protect taxpayer funds from future fraud and abuse.

In light of these charges, I sent a letter to USDA requesting information regarding certain USDA meal programs and their administration. You can read the full letter here.

ICYMI: What's On Your Mind?

This week, I joined my friend Scott Hennen on What's On Your Mind. We talked about putting a stop to the reckless spending in Washington, the crisis at the southern border, America's need for energy independence, and other issues that are important to Minnesotans.

You can listen to the full interview here.

Minnesota's 7th District is lucky to be home to Schwan's & its legendary brands. Thanks to the Marshall team for the tour – and samples! – at your plant & for the useful talk on food, economic, & farm bill issues. I appreciate the expertise from you & all the ag stakeholders in our region.

When I toured the family-owned D-S Beverages in Moorhead, they told me they're struggling to find workers, particularly CDL licensed drivers. The DRIVE Act would allow drivers ages 18-21 to drive with a temporary CDL.

Thank you to HyLife in Windom for the visit with Glen Taylor, Windom Mayor Dominic Jones, State Senator Bill Weber, and State Representative Rod Hamilton. I value your expertise on workforce policies and appreciate its commitment to the local economy.

Happy Columbus Day!

I hope you are enjoying the Fall weather and the long weekend. As always, my office is open and ready to serve constituents of Minnesota's Seventh Congressional District! Please do not hesitate to get in touch if there is anything I can do to help. Thanks for reading!
