Dear Friends,
This week, House Republicans impeached Secretary Mayorkas for willfully and systemically refusing to comply with federal immigration laws and breach of the public trust.
This impeachment followed a year-long investigation conducted by the House Committee on Homeland Security under the leadership of Chairman Mark Green (R-TN), which found that Secretary Mayorkas is "chiefly responsible for the chaos and devastation that has unfolded over the past three years" at America's borders.

In addition, I led 45 Members of Congress in filing an amicus brief supporting the State of Texas in the Biden DOJ lawsuit over Texas’ SB 4. “It is clear to any honest and objective person living in this country that President Biden has willfully disregarded the laws of the land, abdicated his constitutional duty to provide for a common defense, and unilaterally surrendered control of our border to terrorist drug cartels,” said Chairman Arrington. “Not only has President Biden failed to enforce our laws and secure our border – he has aggressively obstructed Texas’ efforts to do the job of the federal government, including the DOJ lawsuit over SB4. I am proud to lead 45 of my colleagues in an Amicus Brief supporting Texas’ Article 1 Section 10 right to stop the chaos, secure the border, and protect Texans – not only is the Constitution on our side, but the American people are on our side as well.”

“The DOJ is suing the State of Texas on the legal basis that immigration is solely a federal responsibility. However, Texas is making the argument on the constitutional basis that Article 4, Section 4 states the federal government has failed to protect our state against an invasion, and there’s been an actual invasion on our southern border that has put the citizens of Texas at risk. The constitution is clear and unequivocal: If a state has actually been invaded OR if there is imminent danger such that will not permit delay, every state has the inherent and sovereign right to self-defense.”

“CBO tells us that we’re in rapid fiscal decline that we’re going to add nearly $20 trillion to the debt in the next 10 years.
CBO’s baseline projects net interest costs to reach $1.6 trillion by 2034, which is more than we spend on defense or Medicaid. If we don’t intervene—and intervene in a big way—we’re going to inflict irreparable harm… which will undermine everything security, the economy and our future.”
