COVID VACCINE NEWSLETTER

DATA COMPILED ON MARCH 29, 2021

Welcome to the ninth edition of my COVID Vaccine Newsletter with information about vaccine distribution in our community.

Last Thursday, I joined Governor Larry Hogan, Maryland Department of Health Secretary Dennis Schrader, Brigadier General Janeen Birckhead, and Western Maryland leaders for the opening of the mass vaccination site at the Hagerstown Premium Outlets.

It was great to speak with the Maryland National Guard members and health care workers working to make sure that Western Marylanders can get the vaccine. I’ll continue working with federal, state, and local leaders to ensure that we get vaccines in the arms of everyone who wants one.

While this is a great step forward, we’re seeing COVID cases rise across our state and throughout the country. This past Sunday, the Maryland Department of Health reported the fifth straight day of more than 1,000 new COVID cases in Maryland, along with a steady increase in hospitalizations. It’s more important than ever to adhere to CDC guidelines, wash your hands, wear a mask, and get the vaccine when it’s your turn. Your community is counting on you.

While Governor Hogan and our state and local leaders are solely responsible for the vaccine distribution and eligibility standards, this newsletter will provide you the latest information about that process in each county.

This newsletter includes information aggregated from multiple sources across the state. For all questions and concerns related to Maryland’s COVID-19 vaccine plan, please contact the office of Governor Larry Hogan.
