Dear Friend,

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I am working to keep our community aware of relevant and helpful information and resources made available by the federal government. Last March, I voted for the CARES Act, which provided Economic Impact Payments (EIPs) of up to $1,200 for individuals, $2,400 for married couples, and up to $500 per qualifying dependent. Individuals who do not usually file their taxes may still be eligible for an EIP. For more information, read on.

Non-filers who did not receive an EIP but believe they might be eligible should register with the IRS to receive their payment by Saturday, November 21, 2020. To register, click here

While registering for your Economic Impact Payment, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Full name, current mailing address, and an email address;
  • Date of birth and valid Social Security number;
  • Bank account number, type, and routing number, if you have one;
  • Identity Protection Personal Identification Number (IP PIN) you received from the IRS earlier this year if you have one;
    • Taxpayers who previously have been issued an Identity Protection PIN but lost it must use the Get an IP PIN tool to retrieve their numbers.
  • Driver’s license or state-issued ID, if you have one; and
  • For each qualifying child during 2019: name, Social Security number or Adoption Taxpayer Identification Number, and their relationship to you or your spouse.

Two weeks after you finish your registration, you may track your payment through the IRS Get My Payment tool.
