Dear Friend,

I am pleased Accomack County Public Schools (ACPS) will provide free internet access for local students who do not have reliable internet access. Efforts like these will give our students the tools they need to continue learning and not fall behind during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Students enrolled in the ACPS system who reside in the locations below are eligible for free public Wi-Fi.

  • Triangle Mobile Home Park in Mappsville
  • Dreamland 2 Mobile Home Park in Parksley
  • Rolling Acres Development in Parksley
  • Seaside Mobile Home Park in Parksley
  • McComas Mobile Home Park in Greenbush
  • Johnson Trailer Park in Nelsonia

Throughout this pandemic, I championed legislation to expand the availability of high-speed internet for our students. I cosponsored the Emergency Educational Connections Act, which would create a special fund through the E-Rate program to assist students who lack reliable internet access. This $2 billion Emergency Connectivity Fund would provide federal support for elementary and secondary schools and libraries with Wi-Fi hotspots, modems, routers, and internet-enabled devices.

Please know that my team and I stand ready to assist our community during this time of need. For resources to help you and your family navigate through COVID-19, please visit our website.
