Dear Friend,

During this public health emergency, my team and I are working to provide you with the most timely and helpful information. Recently four organizations in Hampton Roads joined to form the Virginia Beach Pandemic Relief Partnership (VBPRP) to assist residents and small business owners. To learn more about the assistance they offer, read below.

VB Relief Small Business Grant

  • The Local Initiatives Support Corporation Hampton Roads-Administered VBPRP Small Business Grant Program is designed to help for-profit, women- and minority-owned businesses licensed in Virginia Beach. Recipients may use these grants to pay for wages, inventory, bills, and more. Applications are due on December 18, 2020. For eligibility information and the application, click here.

Rent, Mortgage, Utilities, and Childcare Assistance

  • The United Way of South Hampton Roads is providing financial assistance to Virginia Beach residents who need help paying for rent, mortgage, utilities, childcare, and other expenses.

Food Assistance

  • The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore is joining VBPRP to distribute fresh and nutritious meals to Coastal Virginians.

Workforce Training

  • The Hampton Roads Workforce Council is offering education and job training for displaced workers. These opportunities will focus on in-demand industries, such as health care, manufacturing, IT, transportation, and logistics.

Virginia Beach residents who seek VBPRP assistance should visit the VBPRP website and complete the brief survey on the front page. This survey will help case managers connect you to the right programs and resources.
