The Week in Review

Happy Friday!

I spent my week touring the southern border in Yuma, Arizona and Del Rio, Texas to witness the border crisis first-hand. I hope you’ll read below to learn about the important happenings.

Tragedy in Uvalde, Texas

The deliberate attack of malice and hatred in Uvalde is heartbreaking and we grieve for the families and friends of those who had their precious lives taken in an evil massacre. Let us take this time to respect and honor these innocent lives that were tragically taken away. I commend the BORTAC Border Patrol agent and first responders for their heroic efforts that saved countless lives. I will continue to support securing our schools, funding our law enforcement, and protecting our 2nd amendment rights.

Border Tour At Yuma, Arizona and Del Rio, Texas

Image

On Monday, I traveled to the Yuma, Arizona border sector to tour the southern border with Yuma County Supervisor Jonathan Lines. At the border I saw many large groups of illegal aliens, composed of mainly single, adult males, cross our border to gain entry into our country illegally. I also saw first-hand the devastating environmental damage the border crisis creates on both sides of the border.

Today, I traveled to the Del Rio, Texas border sector where I saw illegal aliens crossing the border with ease. Most of the illegal border crossers in Del Rio were also adult, single males and many of them were headed to places like Miami and Cincinnati.

I filmed several videos at the border showing piles of border wall material behind open sections of the border wall, the environmental consequences of the border crisis, and a video showing hundreds of illegal border crossers trying to gain entry to the United States.

Definition of the Week

CBP’s recent report showed there were nearly 235,000 migrant encounters in April, setting a new record for the highest number of migrant encounters in history for the Department of Homeland Security.

Even as this border crisis continues to set records, President Biden chooses to press forward with repealing Title 42, even though DHS stated repealing Title 42 would result in a minimum of 18,000 migrants a day entering the United States.

After visiting the southern border this week, I saw first-hand that the Biden border crisis has completely spiraled out of control. Our commander-in-chief is not only refusing to solve the problem, but he seems intent on making it worse to implement his open border agenda.

Open Border Agenda: NOUN: When you are the President of the United States during the worst border crisis in history, but instead of trying to solve it, you purposely act to make it worse.
