Congressional Update from U.S. Congressman Andy Barr
Commerce Lex Visits DC

Happy to welcome Commerce Lex to our nation’s capitol this past week for their annual fly-in to discuss their legislative priorities. This meeting gave us the opportunity to review my work in the 118th Congress as well as discuss future legislation to drive economic development across Lexington and the 6th Congressional District.
Treasury Secretary Yellen Addresses Financial Services Committee

Last week, my colleagues and I on the House Financial Services committee questioned U.S. Department of Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. I specifically addressed the ineffective sanctions strategy when it comes to Russia and Iran. The Biden Administration’s Oil Price Cap has failed Americans, as we see each and every day at the gas station, and it is our duty to protect our nation from foreign adversaries. Watch my questioning here or by clicking on the image above.
Australian Speaker of the House Meets with Congress

Grateful for the opportunity to join my colleague, Congressman Joe Courtney (D-CT), in welcoming Speaker of the Australian Parliament, Milton Dick, as well as a number of other Australian parliamentarians to Washington, DC. We were able to discuss the bilateral relationship between Australia and the United States which was formed over 100 years ago and how we continue to strengthen our strong diplomatic relations.
Sincerely,

Congressman Andy Barr |
