Apple Investment in Harrodsburg Corning Plant
This week, President Trump announced with Apple CEO Tim Cook that $2.5B would be coming to Harrodsburg’s Corning plant. With this investment, all glass for iPhone and Apple Watch screens will be produced in Kentucky.
Apple committed to investing in Kentucky as a result of the Made in America Manufacturing tax credit that I voted for in the Big Beautiful Bill in addition to the President’s tough trade policies to push companies to bring jobs back home.
Currently, more than 400 Kentuckians work at the Harrodsburg plant. But with this investment, that number is expected to increase by up to 50%. On Thursday, I joined Maria Bartiromo to discuss this announcement for our region. You can watch this clip by clicking on the image above or by clicking here.
Partnering with President Trump to End Politicized Debanking
On Friday, I announced that I’ll be introducing legislation to make permanent the President’s Executive Order to end politicized debanking. This legislation echoes the Executive Order. The Executive Order states in part:
“It is the policy of the United States that no American should be denied access to financial services because of their constitutionally or statutorily protected beliefs, affiliations, or political views, and to ensure that politicized or unlawful debanking is not used as a tool to inhibit such beliefs, affiliations, or political views. Banking decisions must instead be made on the basis of individualized, objective, and risk-based analyses.”
In recent years, coal companies, crypto firms, firearms businesses, Christian organizations, and even President Trump himself have been targets of politicized debanking. President Trump isn’t just leading on debanking because it happened to him, he’s doing it to protect every American - to prevent it from happening to any pastor or legally operating business owner ever again. I’m leading the fight with him.
Visiting with Business Leaders, Veterans, and Innovators in the Sixth District

Back in the Sixth District this week, I visited with and updated key business leaders in Jessamine County on the Big Beautiful Bill to cut taxes for Kentuckians across the board, to rollback energy regulations, and to unleash the Golden Age of America. The Big Beautiful Bill ends taxes on tips, overtime, social security, while making the 2017 Trump tax cuts permanent, among other key victories for Kentuckians. For a full breakdown on the Big Beautiful Bill and the wins for the Sixth District, click here.
I also had the chance to meet with one of my favorite veterans groups, Retired Old Military Eat Out (ROMEO) Club of Lexington to talk about my recent work for veterans. This includes the enactment of the VA Home Loan Program Reform Act, that I voted for which creates a permanent partial claims option within the VA Home Loan Program, aligning it with similar programs offered by other federal home loan agencies and ending the wasteful Biden-era VASP initiative. This reform ensures veterans have access to the same assistance available to non-veterans through FHA loans, providing federal support for those who have fallen behind on their mortgage payments.
Lastly, I had the great opportunity to meet with Compliant Technologies LLC and APB Consulting Solutions, LLC. Their innovative CD3 products, including the G.L.O.V.E., are setting new standards for safety and de-escalation across law enforcement, healthcare, and the military. These advancements are nothing short of transformative and it’s fantastic to see great Kentucky innovators leading the way right here in the Sixth District for the next frontier of safety for law enforcement, military, and to improve healthcare. |
