Dear Friend,

Outdoor recreational and sporting activities, like trap shooting and archery, are an integral part of our heritage. We love these activities. They teach us valuable life skills, such as discipline, teamwork, and focus, and help the next generation of young sportsmen and women build confidence and self-esteem.

Unfortunately, once again, the Biden administration has a new attack on our state. The administration has been defunding school archery and trap shooting programs. By doing so, unelected bureaucrats in the Biden administration are not only attacking our Second Amendment rights but our students' educational opportunities as well.

It's flat-out wrong. It's a slap in the face to rural Minnesota.

Furthermore, this action shows their clear ignorance of these programs. There are nearly 50 archery and trap shooting programs in Minnesota's Sixth Congressional District, and every one of them teaches students how to responsibly handle a firearm, improve marksmanship, and how to work together as a team.

Thankfully, recent reports indicate the Biden administration is working to undo this ridiculous action, but it should have never happened in the first place. We will continue to remain vigilant against any attempt to erode our Second Amendment rights and strip our students of valuable educational opportunities.

Sincerely,
