A Message from Congressman David Scott on 59th Inaugural Ceremonies

Greetings,

Thank you for contacting me to obtain tickets to attend the historic 59th Inaugural Ceremonies for President-Elect Joseph Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris on January 20, 2021 at the U.S. Capitol.

Due to the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 health emergency, the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC), working with health experts, has decided that a virtual inauguration ceremony will take place this year in the interests of safety and public health. Therefore, tickets to the 2021 Presidential Inauguration will not be available to the public.

In addition to the traditional television broadcast of the ceremony, the JCCIC will be expanding digital viewing options to give the public a unique look into this year’s event. For further information, I encourage you to visit the Committee’s website at: https://www.inaugural.senate.gov/

I sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding during these uncertain times, and I do hope you will join your fellow Americans by watching the swearing in of President-Elect Joseph Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris on January 20th.

In addition, I encourage you to visit my web site at http://davidscott.house.gov to view the latest news and obtain information on issues and legislation that are important to you. You can also sign up for my electronic newsletter and receive periodic updates on my activities as your representative in Washington.

Thank you again for contacting me, and I look forward to continuing to serve you.

Sincerely,
