ICYMI: Local Media Outlets Continue to Highlight Congressman David Scott, DCA Commissioner Nunn for $354 Million Relief Delivered to Georgia Homeowners

Applications for the Georgia Homeowner Assistance Program are open now to eligible Georgians!

ATLANTA — Over the weekend, metro-Atlanta news outlets, including News and Talk Radio 1380 WAOK and WSB-TV, featured Congressman David Scott (GA-13) discussing the Homeowner Assistance Program for Georgia residents seeking assistance paying their mortgage and utility bills.  

On Saturday, Congressman David Scott joined Real Estate with Mary Gill on 1380 WAOK and later, he joined Georgia Department of Community Affairs Commissioner Christopher Nunn for a wide-ranging interview with WSBTV’s Condace Pressley on People to People where the officials answered questions about the new Homeowner Assistance Program.

Administered by Georgia’s DCA, the $354 million GA Homeowner Assistance Fund is financed by Congressman David Scott’s bill H.R. 1710, legislation included in the American Rescue Plan Act signed into law last year which offered a $10 billion lifeline in federal funding for states to launch robust Homeowner Assistance Programs as a core part of the nation’s COVID-19 relief response.  

Eligible Georgia residents impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic are encouraged to apply online today for assistance with mortgage delinquencies, defaults, foreclosures and past-due utilities.
